Pa Pa sharing the Christmas story with the kids.
The Love annual Christmas extravaganza was held this past weekend. We decided to cohost the event with Turkey Day festivities due to all of our schedules. Liz and Steve will be in Florida for Christmas, Chas and Val are traveling to California to see the other side of the family, Gary and I will more than likely be sleepless attempting to take care of 3 children, and Uncle Johnny will be heading east on the 26th to take a new job. With all of that said, the option to celebrate things early was a "no brainer". We spent four nights and five days together and believe it or not, we still love each other. No really, it was a wonderful time, and I actually wish we could have had one more day together.
I love the traditions that we have. The kids made pizzas this year for their Christmas meal. Here they are preparing the dough, adding tomato sauce, and toppings. They really seemed to enjoy themselves and I think it's a new tradition that will stick. Later that evening, all of the adults then share a Christmas meal together. We attempt to have all of the little children asleep in their beds and the toddlers set up with a movie and popcorn. My parents are fabulous chefs and they treated us this year to Smoked Prime Rib. Dad has the recipe perfected and pairs it with a lovely vegetable medley. Mom makes a hearty salad and then we topped it off with some scrumptious cheese cake. Again it was a fantastic meal! Okay now back to more of the kids.
