Just around a month ago, Sophia Grace turned 2. She loves horses and her birthday coincides with the annual Rodeo/Labor Day celebrations, so we decided on a cowgirl theme. Below are some long overdue pictures of the party.
Yee-Haw!!
Here's the group of cowgirls and cowboys that were at the celebration!
Laney on left and Brooklyn (my niece) on the right.
Sophia
Jace and Evan (love Sophia's sweet face in this picture).
Olivia and Maura
Logan holding Gretchen
and Preston too
Oh my goodness weren't they the cutest all dressed up in those getups? I should mention that when the children arrived they were quickly escorted to the "make your vest" table. The vests were pre-cut brown paper bags. Loot to decorate included name tags and various types of paper scraps.
Next 2 shots are out of order...SORRY!

Did you get a good look at that cake? :) Well I hope so because I made it!! First cake ever and Sophia absolutely LOVED it!!
Back to crafting...My mom shown with Brooklyn and Valerie.
The vests along with a brightly colored bandana served as party favors.
Cutting another bag on the fly! Notice the stick ponies in the corner of the deck.
We used those ponies for the first party game which was *barrel racing*!! 3 buckets served as the barrels and each child took a turn racing around with their stick pony!
