We are so excited to announce that we've planted a garden this year!! We opted for container gardening at my sister's recommendation and due to the fact that our soil is rocky red clay.
The first thing we planted was a healthy tomato plant.
Sophia was a great helper and loved the dirt!
Speaking of dirt...Gary hauled 2 truck loads of nice soil from my Grandparents. They said to help our self, so we THANKFULLY did! Gary got a work-out in from all the shovel scoops.
A few days earlier Gary made an 8x8 garden plot which he built out of scrap wood. We then put down black paper to keep out the weeds, added a few rocks, and then were ready for the soil. 
We planted peppers, green beans, sweet corn, and cucumbers in the 8x8 square.
